2020 Refit

2024 July, For Sale CONTENDER First time for sale in over 30 years, Contender is a S&S designed and built classic yacht that was comissioned as a half ton cup racer. Over the years she has been converted into a cruiser but is still a very capable and strong, well built boat. Sails particulary well in a good breeze! On a recent coastal trip we were doing 6-7 knots. Under engine 4-5 knots. Am selling as we have purchased a larger cruising yacht for our growing family. Previouly owned by Helmer Pederson and crewed by Sir Peter Blake during the 70's. Cabins and decks are marine plywood with GRP.
