From Facebook 2020, Andy French: "They were fun, I raced on Aladdin Sane but she had an experimental reverse keel which didn’t work but was better afterwards with conventional keel. Build quality was a bit suspect I think AS had the pox and the owner sued MG yachts. Nothing wrong with the design though";

"I raced on 'Aladdinsane'. She was a modified MG
RS 34 with a shallower keel (designed by Warwick Collins), with wooden bulb
on the bottom. Very quick boat, however challenge was beating in a large seaway,
she made more leaway than he competitors."
