2018 Information
from Dutch QT Facebook: "TICKLED
PINK, Peterson Quarter Ton, Design #12, One of the original Eichenlaub builds,
here being finished at Carl's yard. Twice runner up in the Quarter Ton North
Americans ('73 & '74), A PINK boat! Whattha?, Note the visitor riding
in on his cool big/little stingray!" "While
GANBARE was a small, light One Ton, these QTs done at the same time were big
and heavy for the class. The last I heard Tickled Pink was sitting in a yard
in Ohio Deteriorating. Like so many good ole boats. Raced Wizard for many
seasons. Remember one particular run with blooper up. We crashed so hard the
water was inches from the companionway. Thought she was done!"
October, Information from Dutch QT Facebook: "'Tickled
Pink', a Doug Peterson 1/4 tonner (Design #12). She was one of the three original
Peterson / Eichenlaub pintail 1/4 ton boats. ‘Valkyrie’ was cut
up a few years ago... No one seems to know where the other two 'El Principio'
and 'Tickled Pink' are..."
