December, For Sale Sparkman and Stephens 37 - Tina Of Melbourne - $69,500,
a stunning S&S 37 One Ton Cup design, is very proudly and exclusively listed
for sale with YOTI due to her owner relocating overseas. Representing an almost
unique opportunity in pedigree, style and in the leading edge in design from
a bygone era, this yacht is one of only two of this design ever constructed
and was built to one of the first 'One ton rule' designs which arguably paved
the way for the S&S 34 and the early Swan designs. Designed primarily for
competitive offshore racing, we challenge any racing or cruising sailor alike,
to sit in this beautiful cockpit, take the wheel in one hand and not fall in
love. The yachts history tells of just a few long term owners who have been
entrusted with the stewardship of such a special vessel, and the evidence of
care will be proven on inspection. Tina Of Melbourne was built using full boat
length, 1.5 inch planks of Canadian Oregon below the waterline and Californian
Oregon above the waterline due to the weight saving of the lighter Californian
variety. She is built using splined carvel construction, the splines being of
Sitka Spruce. Full length large load bearing stringers run fastened to the ribs
spreading loads fore and aft, a bronze structural ring runs from the chainplates
and joins the bronze keel grid frame which sits atop the vessels backbone made
from West African Mahogony. The yacht enjoyed new Dynex Dux rigging in 2012
along with the mast and boom being fully removed / stripped / re-sprayed / rewired,
the teak deck and cabin top were replaced around eight years ago, also in 2012
the topsides were re-sprayed, below the waterline was stripped and re-sprayed,
all winches re-chromed and new high quality upholstery added. Her engine was
fully and professionally re-built by Bukh in 2014 with warranty remaining plus
a much longer list of very significant updates were also completed just last
year including a brand new comprehensive sail wardrobe by Doyle, full re-wiring
and re-plumbing and new B&G instrumentation. Length (m) : 11.24 m, Beam/Width
(m) : 3.09 m, Deck Construction Material : Full teak decks, Hull Construction
Material : Canadian Oregon used below the waterline. Californian Oregon above
the waterline (lighter in weight), all full length 1.5, Draft (m) : 1.92 m,

55amp hr start (2014), Elite battery monitor. Fuel Tank Capacity (L) : 80L,

and mahogany (new rudder bearings 2012).
