From Tony Castro Design Facebook 2021, "Yeoman
XXV - this raceboat was beautifully built
with extremely light 3mm topsides plating, glued and riveted. A masterpiece
of aluminium construction. The layout and systems were state-of-art with lots
of interesting innovations. Biil Edgerton worked tirelessly to get the boat
prepared and to perform.
The design was very similar to my 43 footer "Izatanotherpurla"
that was so successful when raced in the right hands. Unfortunately, the year
Yeoman 25 was launched, the competition was already full of professional helmsman
and paid crews, which a bunch of very talented amateurs could not compete with.
The boat did have some notable successes nevertheless and won the Round the
Island of Wight race in a year that had more than 2000 entries. It later became
BLADE and in the hands a Canadian crew and helmed by the great Pol
Ricard Jensen, won most races it entered including Miami-Nassau race.."
