2022 This is a very strong, well equipped, and safe aluminium vessel, suitable both for coastal and offshore cruising yet has the pedigree and speed for weekend races. Originally built in 1978 under the direct supervision of Doug Peterson, iemanja is an offshore 2-ton IOR racer and the sistership to the offshore racer and Admirals cup winner 1975 and 1977, Yeoman XX. Originally named Marina Dos, she completed several offshore races before being refitted in Germany as an offshore cruiser in 1994-97 and sailed to New Zealand. Currently in Fiji for the 2022 cruising season, there is an opportunity to purchase in Fiji and leave in a Cyclone safe hard stand pit ready for cruising around Fiji in 2023 or sail home with the current owner and crew in Late October. Cat 1 in May 2022. she will be sold with all her offshore safety equipment much of which was new for this season and will remain current for next year. Recently undergone her 3rd major refit Full repaint including antifoul, topsides and deck in 2021 Interior refreshed with new paint, upgraded nav station and additional storage. New lithium batteries 690AmpHr 2022 with full BMS system 285w Solar across 3 panels Mercury Rib tender with 2021 3.3hp mercury 2 stroke 6 man life raft new 2022. Comment from the owner "The original registration cert from Argentina suggests 2 tonners and Yeoman XX was a 2 tonners as far as I have been able to find. I am told Iemanja was built to the same exact plan overseen by Doug himself. I have this from the original owner who commissioned her."
