Massachusetts Maritime Academy, This boat was re-named REDSHIFT by her Cruising Club of America (CCA) donor family who were happy that, coincidentally, her previous name was also Redshift! The term Redshift refers to what happens when electromagnetic radiation, usually visible light, moves away from an observer, i.e., a fast sailboat moving away from the fleet!
