2003 Beneteau Figaro 2 for exclusive sale with Flagstaff Marine, Rushcutters Bay. The Beneteau Figaro 2 is a French sailboat that was designed by Marc Lombard as a one-design, single-handed, off-shore racer for the Solitaire du Figaro race and was first built in 2003. The boat and the race are named for the race's sponsor, the French newspaper Le Figaro. This Figaro 2 is unmodified, built in 2003 and is hull number 54 of 96 built. This Figaro 2 was first sailed on a Swiss Lake and wintered in a shed before being imported in 2014, where it raced offshore in WA double-handed series. It is now for sale in Sydney and is an excellent example of an unmodified Figaro 2 class yacht. The Beneteau Figaro is hand-built in it's own facility in France with strength and one-design uniformity built into each yacht.
This Figaro 2 is a superb 10.3 metre yacht to sail whether racing or cruising. She has a large cockpit which is set up for double-handed sailing or crewed sailing. She is very well-designed and has excellent directional stability upwind and downwind. The Figaro 2 is very responsive with a tiller driving twin rudders. The Figaro 2 is very capable of sailing downwind with a spinnaker in excess of 20 kts!
This Figaro 2 is well fitted out with a carbon mast, 4 winches, NKE navigation instruments, VHF radio, stereo, two suits of sails and a VOLVO 20 HP engine. The boat has just been antifouled, a storage/transport cradle is also included in the sale.
