Construction suivie par Jason Carrington. Le 2e bateau a une coque 40kg plus légére que la 1e! Pas d'hydraulique, pas de poulies sur le pont, juste des trous pour le passage des drisses au pied de mat par exemple!! 300kg aurait été ainsi gagné et rajouté au lest, ce qui en faisait le bateau le plus rapide de la flotte!!

2014 October, Sailing Anarchy Forum, JBSF said: "Two of the VOR60s from the 2001/2 race are in Abu Dhabi and are used as Corporate charter boats. They are the former Assa Abloy and Newscorp boats. They were sold to Bahrain to the Pindar team and they are now in Abu Dhabi. I just went sailing on the old Newscorp boat back in the spring. They are owned by Eden Yachting http://www.edenyachting.com/yacht/volvo-60/ and are still in nice condition and sail pretty regularly"
