2005 20 janvier, Suite à la grave avarie de Skandia lors de la Rolex Sydney-Hobat, Grant Wharington qui prépare la Volvo Ocean race n’avait plus de bateau pour s’entraîner : il vient de récupérer un VOR-60. C’est le yachtman de l’état de Victoria, David Gotze qui prête son VOR-60 rebaptisé Howarth Merit au Team Skandia pour la Skandia Geelong Week, une grande classique des antipodes. Barney Walker, un vétéran du tour du monde sur Dragon Djuice en particulier, rejoint le bord comme barreur.

2006 Juin, A Vendre 1997 Volvo 60, A$ 360,000. Located in Sydney, Australia. This Volvo 60, formerly known as Line 7, holds the Pittwater-Lord Howe race record. She is fully ready to race and is a potential money earner with survey approval for sheltered waters chartering. Designed by Farr, built by Marten Marine she was the training boat for two NZ based around the world races. She is water ballasted and can therefore be sailed by smaller crews at exhilarating speeds up to 25 knots offshore.

Fully rebuilt with new swept back spreader rig, hull stripped bare, new barrier coat all round, fared underwater section inc. keel and rudder, awlcraft topsides, deck and cockpit, complete new B&G system including 2 Zeus3 12' chart plotters, H5000 Hercules CPU, radar, AIS, autopilot, 5 x 20/20 mast displays, 2 x race displays, just to mention a bit of the work done.
