18 mai, Un homme passe par dessus bord avant d’être récupéré décédé à bord d’ABN Amro Two, Drâme à bord d’ABN Amro Two cette nuit. Le Hollandais Hans Horrevoets, 32 ans, a été projeté par dessus bord à 2h11 TU cette nuit. L’équipage est parvenu à le récupérer mais sans pouvoir le réanimer.

30 avril, Puma Racing Team is the latest entry for the Volvo Ocean Race 2008/9. Having purchased the successful "ABN Amro Two", the yacht was repainted and renamed "PUMA" in Breskens, Holland. The hull, now sporting dramatic new graphics, plus all her support equipment - two containers, keel, bulb and rigs, were then shipped from Zebrugge to New York. A barge was arranged to move the consignment to its final destination at Newport.RI.
