Swing keel water ballasted Open 60 and one of the lightest of this genre ever

as well as many go faster features such as carbon rotating bowsprit. As a result
she's still a very competative Open 60 and potentially a top performer in the

Rusalka
2010 Winter, in London:
full refit to turn the solo offshore racing yacht in to an offshore Med racer
that could easily be handled by the owner and a crew of four. Modifications
included a new engine, a modified forward bulkhead and new chainplates, and
the unusual inclusion for an Open 60 of basic a galley, a shower and mountings
for a chemical toilet.
2011 Avril, site Owen Clark:
For sale: Rusalka, ex Artemis 1, ex Pindar and originally built as Hexagon is
reluctantly for sale by her owner having been purchased for use as a private
yacht in late 2009. Rusalka is a swing keel water ballasted IMOCA Open 60 and
is one of the lightest of any generation ever built. Even with the increased
weight of modifications to her rig bringing her in line with later Owen Clarke
designs she still measures in at 8,500kg. Rusalka has been continually professionally
maintained and updated throughout her life by her owners/skippers including
Mike (Moose) Sanderson. As a result, she's still a very fast Open 60 and is
also the last of the Open 60's built that would have been valid for the Eco
60 class in the VELUX 5 OCEANS RACE 2010-11

January, For Sale Open 60 Rosalba, Built as Hexagon HSBC
for Graham Dalton to sail in the 2002 Around Alone, After that race, the boat
was purchased by Pindar for Emma Richards. In consultation with the Owen Clarke
Design office significant development was undertaken with Mike Sanderson as
skipper. This included a conversion from single central daggerboard to twin
asymmetric boards, and conversion of rig to removable genoa with halyard lock
system -now common amongst the fleet. Between 2006 and 2009 the boat was owned
and managed by Artemis Ocean Racing. She was originally used as the race boat
competing in the 2006 Route de Rhum and 2007 TJV. She was subsequently used
as the corporate boat and was RORC Class Champion in 2008. In 2010 the boat
was purchased by the previous owner and renamed Rusalka. The boat went through
an extensive refit during which; in addition to general servicing, the decks,
topsides, bottom and appendages were re-sprayed and the keel modified. Hydraulics
overhauled, engine and saildrive replaced, interior redesigned and galley fitted,
and much more. Under current ownership the boat was renamed Rosalba and has
been impeccably maintained and further invested in with new rigging, electronics,
mainsail, genoa, code 0 and J2 and an overhaul of keel hydraulics. She has also
been fully coded for charter activity. Location: Genoa Italy, 395 000

In 2014 a further cosmetic refit was carried out to the hull bottom and topsides
with a re-fair and antifoul to the hull bottom and the topsides vinyl wrapped
(now removed) All the future fibres PBO rigging was replaced with the Karver
furlers serviced and load tested in 2015. At the same time a complete overhaul
of the electronics resulted in a new B&G chart plotter and computer system,
AIS, extra keel controls by helm, new Sat dome etc. The keel was ultra-sounded
in March 2014. Another very comprehensive survey was undertaken on the vessel
in 2017 when purchased by the present owner. New Future Fibres forestay and
backstays were fitted in 2017 along with the blue vinyl wrap being removed revealing
pristine white Awlgrip topsides, in addition a full anti-fouling refresh was
carried out with the rudders and keel additionally painted hi vis yellow. Lightly
used by previous owner 2015- 2016 (mostly day sailing, but also competing in
the Fastnet, and Middle Sea Race). Sailed by current owner and crew from Naples
to Caen September 2017. Full (500 hours) engine and sail-drive service and new
Gori race propeller fitted, Cascais, October 2017. IRC rating 1.68, Boat and
